A moment of Celebration!
2010 marked the bicentenary of the birth of Ole Bull. Throughout the year he was celebrated and commemorated in Bergen, across Norway and internationally.
Ole Bull celebration in New York
On October 31st in New York, The American Scandinavian Society presents a wizardly virtuoso Halloween House Concert to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Ole Bull's birth.
Celebrates Bull in Egypt
Geir Botnen and Lars-Erik ter Jung follow in Ole Bull's footsteps and travel to Egypt to perform several concerts.
International Anniversary events
A series of anniversary concerts will be held internationally during the fall.
Ole Bull – The Water Spirit of Valestrand
A historical play about Ole Bull´s magical universe will take place at an outdoor scene at Valestrand in August this year.
Bull in Gloucestershire
A three-part event about the Norwegian violinist and nationalist Ole Bull will take place at the HSBC Cheltenham Music Festival in Gloucestershire on 5 July.
Thousands participate in Violin Fest
Approximately 5,000 people visited Ole Bull and the Master Instruments at Permanenten between 26 May and 9 June 2010.
